    Job Duties

    + Under general supervision, repairs and performs maintenance on conventional tools, down-hole tools and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools

    + Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, pressure testing, surface equipment, and down-hole tools

    + Performs maintenance, inspects surface equipment, and perform repairs

    + Assembles and disassembles down-hole tools

    + Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations

    + Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines

    + Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process

    + Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary

    Qualifications

    Work Authorization:Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

     

    + High school diploma or similar education required

    + 6-12 months experience as a Tool Technician I or equivalent tool technician training

    + Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required

    + The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required

    + Basic computer skills are preferred

     

    Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Tool Technician II, Tool Technician III or Tool Technician IV.
