Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Lead Protection & Control (P&C) Engineer to lead the design and implementation of protection and control systems for high-voltage (4kV–230kV) and extra-high voltage (above 230kV) substation projects, including renewable energy interconnections. This role requires expertise in applying NESC, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards to deliver innovative solutions. Responsibilities include overseeing P&C design development—such as one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts—conducting system studies and relay coordination, managing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring quality compliance. The successful candidate will serve as a technical specialist, mentor junior engineers, and act as the primary technical liaison for clients to ensure project objectives are met with excellence.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in P&C engineering within substation projects.
• Proficiency in developing relay settings, points mapping, and familiarity with protection scheme functionality.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and engineering analysis tools such as ASPEN OneLiner or ETAP.
• Strong understanding of NESC, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and other applicable codes and standards. • EIT Certification required; Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
