    Job Description

    Insight Global is hiring a Principal Network Engineer to serve as the onsite point of contact for a leading technology client. In this hybrid role, you will monitor real-time telemetry from physical and virtual network devices (including AVS), troubleshoot issues before they impact services, and lead resolution efforts for major outages. You’ll also work in lab environments to test new software releases, validate fixes, and reproduce complex bugs prior to production. Collaboration with developers and engineers is key to ensuring new features are stable and optimized. Additionally, you will manage traffic visibility and policy enforcement across virtual switches while providing proactive support and technical leadership to maintain trust and reliability.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    10+ years in networking and/or data center infrastructure.

     

    Hands-on experience with streaming telemetry systems.

     

    Expert level knowledge of Cisco Nexus 3000/9000 switches and NX-OS.

     

    Familiarity with Microsoft SONiC, Cisco IOS-XR, and platforms like Catalyst 8000 and NCS5500.

     

    Experience supporting large-scale, complex data center environments.

     

    Understanding of Cisco AVS and ACI. Experience with Python and/or Linux for automating telemetry or troubleshooting tasks.

     

    CCIE Certification (RS, DC, SP)
