Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Software Engineer tosupport maintenance and development of Java EE applications. Candidate must be able to support the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including all software documentation such as the software development plan, schedule, software requirements specification, software design documents, test documentation, and more. Candidate must have a good understanding of the various phases of software testing as well as the software release process. Candidate should have a good understanding of the configuration management process and how it relates to the SDLC. The candidate must have excellent communication skills. The candidate must be able to present status to non-software developer audiences and interact with the customer to collect and analyze system requirements, translating them into a workable design and functional system. A working knowledge of configuration management and quality assurance principles is important. Excellent analytical/problem solving, organizational, and time management skills. Experience in HTML and CSS. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Three (3) years experience with Netbeans or three years (3) in combination with similar IDE for Java development. Degree should be in Computer Science, Computer engineering, or similar.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

+ ActiveDOD SECRET Clearance

+ Experience developing scientific/engineering applications in Java

+ Experience building complex software applications using WIX and ANT

+ Experience in setting up or managing name servers, file servers, workstations and network switches

+ Excellentcognitive, communications, andinterpersonal skills

+ Knowledge of information assurance

+ Must have taken the Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer 8 class and passed the certification exam

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Active TSDOD Security Clearance

+ Experience with JUnit and other test suites

+ Prior experiencedeveloping software on a DoD contract

+ Experienceinterfacing with users to resolve software issues after application launch

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
