The Senior Manager, Compensation Programs leads the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of enterprise-wide compensation programs, including job architecture, retention and recognition programs, and compensation process optimization. This role acts as a strategic Total Rewards partner to corporate functions within Inc and Enterprise Shared Services (ESS), ensuring compensation programs are aligned with business priorities, competitive in the market, operationally efficient, and consistently applied across the organization. The role requires strong analytical capability, process ownership, change management skill, and the ability to partner effectively with HR Business Partners and business leadership.
+ Ensure development, implementation, and governance of enterprise compensation programs and solutions that align with organizational strategy while balancing cost effectiveness, competitive positioning, and program impact.
+ Partner with Total Rewards and HR stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered with consistency and quality, evaluate existing compensation practices, and recommend enhancements to improve experience, performance, and alignment to market and business objectives.
+ Lead project and change management efforts to operationalize compensation programs, improve user experience for HR, managers, and employees, and increase understanding and effective utilization of offerings.
+ Serve as enterprise program manager for Job Architecture, ensuring job structures, leveling, job families, and career paths are current, clearly defined, and aligned to external market benchmarks.
+ Design and manage enterprise recognition and retention programs, including policy governance, eligibility frameworks, funding models, communication, and impact assessment.
+ Evaluate, model, and refine compensation frameworks to support career progression, internal equity, talent mobility, and workforce planning.
+ Drive continuous process improvement, identifying inefficiencies and automating or simplifying compensation workflows, policies, and administrative processes; collaborate with HRIS/People Operations to operationalize programs in HRIS and related platforms.
+ Monitor and report on program performance and ROI using data and insights to influence future investment, prioritization, and design decisions.
+ Serve as the Total Rewards business partner to Corporate Functions (Inc and ESS), providing guidance on compensation decisions related to hiring, promotions, reorganizations, succession planning, and retention.
+ Partner with HRBPs and leaders to ensure compensation strategies effectively support organizational design, workforce planning, and critical talent initiatives.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor s degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience;
+ Proven in communicating sensitive information and having the ability to influence beliefs or opinions with leadership and business units;
+ Strong experience with job architecture, compensation programs, recognition and retention programs and incentive plan administration required;
+ Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to compensation programs;
+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of compensation administration;
+ Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and HRIS Systems;
+ Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and compensation market data tools (e.g., Mercer, Aon, Radford, Equilar);
+ Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and draft clear, concise executive-level communication.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Master s Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years experience OR in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required;
+ Human Resources or Business-related Degree Preferred;
+ Prior leadership experience a plus;
+ Experience working in a large matrixed and global organization, manufacturing, aerospace, defense and/or high-tech/engineering;
+ Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and legislative factors impacting compensation & rewards programs including the FLSA, Service Contract Act, and Davis-Bacon Act;
+ World at Work Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), and/or SHRM SCP highly preferred.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135556 - $230444
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
