    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is looking for an NC Programmer to sit fully onsite in Middle River, MD.

     

    This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative prototypes, meaning no two days will be the same. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in programming 3-axis CNC machines and be highly proficient in SmartCam or MasterCam software. As the sole programmer on the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy and precision, collaborating closely with three skilled machinists to deliver high-quality results. Candidates should bring exceptional machining skills, a solid understanding of designing and creating tooling or holding fixtures, and the ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic environment.

    Compensation:

    $21/hr to $26/hr.

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.     Skills and Requirements

    • Proficient in programming for 3-axis CNC machines

    • Skilled in using programming software such as SmartCam or MasterCam

    • Hands-on experience machining a variety of metals, including titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel

    o Knowledge of working with composites is a plus

    • Strong understanding of designing and creating tooling or holding fixtures

    • Proficient in CAD tools, preferably CATIA
