Job Description
A leading power generation client of Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Designer to add to their Engineering tea, in the Kansas City area. This person will support our engineering and construction projects. This role focuses on designing and routing electrical raceway systems, modeling equipment in 3D, and ensuring designs meet code and project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and route electrical raceway systems (duct banks, trays, conduit, etc.).
- Create and update 3D models and construction drawings.
- Review designs for accuracy, safety, and constructability.
- Incorporate design codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Support drawing updates, as-builts, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality designs.

Skills and Requirements
- Associate degree or High School Diploma
- Two years of experience as an electrical designer
- Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
- Basic understanding of design software such as: E3D, Plant 3D, Smartplant 3D, AutoCAD,
MicroStation - Raceway or electrical modeling Experience in EPC Power Industry
