Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Responsible for execution of laboratory and field validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services typically does not require Engineering degree
+ Responsible for design and construction of test facilities, test rigs, instrumentation systems and the development of test software
+ Typically a 1st line manager of professionals or a 2nd line manager of a professional department. Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
+ Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
+ Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
+ Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college, or 5 years of relevant experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering
+ Engine Testing Experience.
+ Ability and willingness to work flexible and off-shift hours (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, nights, weekends, and holidays) when business needs dictate.
+ Ability and willingness to travel to and support operations at offsite locations when business needs dictate.
+ Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.
+ Must be open, willing, and able to successfully to complete additional security screening as required.
+ Ability to travel up to 25%
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
+ Have a current U.S. DOD Security Clearance.
Desired Characteristics
+ Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

+ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
+ Ability to be responsible for the readiness, setup, and execution of commercial and military Development Engine Tests.
+ Ability to be the Test Director, coordinating test card execution, setup, facility needs, inspections, and deliverables.
+ Military Flight Test Experience.
+ Engine Test Cell Experience.
+ Jet Engine Testing Experience.
+ Self-motivated and driven.
+ Knowledge of fulfillment, assembly, instrumentation, and test disciplines.
+ Familiarity with the TSE Department Sections and Sub-Sections.
+ Engine and Rig test experience.
+ Experience with finance and scheduling tools, Open plan, Clarity, Spotfire.
+ Established project management skills and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
+ Very strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
+ Ability to influence small team and across functions.
+ Experience working with DoD and/or Commercial customer and processes.

The base pay range for this position is Total Base Pay Range 130,000 - 170,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 12/31/2025.
