    Summary:

    Here at Penn Medicine Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, we pride ourselves in making a difference in the lives of women. Patients deserve to make informed decisions. Without learning about their bodies and understanding why they may be having their symptoms, they cannot choose the best course of treatment. Without understanding the risks and benefits of medical or surgical options, they cannot take an active role in their health. We believe in education and empowerment. Women should be confident in their bodies and their health; they deserve a provider that will help them achieve this. Our practice specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Our compassionate Gynecologists and Advance Practice Nurses specialize in evaluating and treating people who have a wide range of noncancerous gynecologic conditions, including heavy and irregular menstrual periods, pelvic pain, endometriosis and ovarian cysts. Our surgeons are board-certified, fellowship-trained, gynecology specialists with experience in the use of hysteroscopic, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques to address both common and complex conditions of the female anatomy. The advantages of this approach include less pain, blood loss and scarring as well as a decreased risk of infection.

    Responsibilities:

    + Evidence Based Practice and Research: The nurse evaluates and integrates best current evidence with clinical expertise, patient and family preferences and values for the delivery of optimal health care and system effectiveness.

    + Safety: The nurse minimizes risk of harm to patients, families, providers and self through system effectiveness and individual performance.

    + Professionalism: The nurse demonstrates a commitment to the nursing profession through lifelong learning, adherence to ANA’s Code of Ethics for Nurses, participation in a professional organization and advancing community outreach.

    + Person and Family Centered Care: The nurse recognizes the patient (or the patient’s designee) as the source of control and a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs.

    + Leadership: The nurse effectively collaborates and applies innovative, systems thinking to engage in systematic, evidence-based problem solving and decision making to promote effective changes within a complex care delivery system supporting the vision of Penn Medicine.

    + Informatics/Technology: The nurse utilizes appropriate information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision making across the continuum.

    + Teamwork: The nurse effectively engages in the process of cooperation, coordination, and collaboration in an effort to provide for safe, quality outcomes for patients within inter and intra-professional teams, including virtual teams.

    + Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): The nurse utilizes data and QI methods to identify potential and actual problems and opportunities to provide care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and equitable.

    + Work rotating shifts as assigned.

    + Travel to other work locations as assigned.

    Credentials:

    + Registered Nurse - NJ (Required)

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

    + ACLS/PALS certification per specialty

    + Pediatric Advanced Life Support

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    + Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)

    + Education Specialization:BSN from accredited school of nursing.Equivalent Experience:•And 1+ years At least 1 year experience working as an RN.

    Salary Range:

    $41.60 - $41.60/Hourly
