The **Inside Sales Representative** is responsible for driving sales growth and customer engagement through proactive outreach and relationship management. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize sales processes and deliver exceptional service.
Scope and Impact
+ Proactively engage with customers through outbound calls and email to generate and qualify leads.
+ Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services to drive sales.
+ Follow up on product usage and provide guidance or training to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
+ Maintain accurate records of prospects and customers in CRM systems to support pipeline management.
+ Present and demonstrate product features and benefits to influence purchasing decisions.
+ Stay informed on product updates, industry trends, and competitor offerings to position solutions effectively.
+ Collaborate with Territory Managers and internal teams to optimize sales processes and close opportunities.
+ Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize revenue.
+ Research and qualify new leads to expand market reach.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Education & Experience
+ High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
+ Previous experience in inside sales, outbound calling, or a call center environment strongly preferred.
+ Familiarity with lead qualification and pipeline management processes.
Skills & Abilities
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, including cold calling and email outreach.
+ Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
+ Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience preferred).
+ Ability to learn and articulate product knowledge quickly and effectively.
+ Comfort with technology and virtual communication tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom).
Primary Responsibilities
+ 30% Generate, qualify, and follow up on inbound and outbound sales leads; ensure accurate handoff to Account or Territory Managers.
+ 30% Review customer usage reports and proactively engage clients to provide guidance, training, and support for optimal product adoption.
+ 30% Collaborate with Territory Managers and cross-functional teams to share feedback, improve sales processes, and enhance customer experience.
+ 5% Participate in occasional travel for training, customer meetings, or team events.
+ 5% Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall sales objectives.
Work Environment & Conditions
+ Work Setting: This is a fully remote position requiring a dedicated workspace, reliable internet connection, and the ability to maintain productivity in a home office environment.
+ Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional flexibility for customer time zones.
+ Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods, work at a computer for up to 8 hours daily and use a headset for calls. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
+ Technology Requirements: Proficiency with CRM systems, email platforms, and virtual meeting tools; ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues independently.
+ Travel: Occasional travel (1–2 times per year) may be required.
