Location Description

Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY** **:
Guards industrial or commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing the following duties. Monitors chicken house environmental control system and alarm system to ensure hen welfare and proper operation.
Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
+ Maintains regular and consistent attendance working on scheduled days as directed, in relation to production scheduling and or time volunteered for. This being in relation to attendance policy and or guidelines.
+ Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of industrial plant and farm properties.
+ Closes and locks doors, windows, and gates to ensure that they are secure. Closes and locks gates, checking on them several times nightly.
+ Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff on nightly report. At times this will require contacting management personnel to address the issue and or issues as they arise throughout the course of the work shift. (i.e. lights on after 9:30pm, etc)
+ Contacts management personnel in cases of unauthorized persons. May call police, sheriff, or fire department as directed.
+ Permits authorized persons to enter property.
+ Checks & records fire extinguisher & eye wash stations ensuring that they are ready for emergency use.
+ Responsible for snow/ice removal. Ensuring steps, entry doors, etc., are clear for safe entry.
+ In case of power failure, sees that generators start up properly, calls and assists farm personnel as needed when generators are in operation.
+ Follows all bio-security procedures.
+ Carries cell phone and Company radio and/or uses location telephones for communication when questions or issues arise for business purposes only.
+ Takes proper care of company pickups and related equipment. This includes minor and or preventative maintenance as needed, as well as routinely cleaning it to insure bio-security is maintained.
+ Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that products quality is maintained. Report management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
+ Performs laundry washing and breakroom cleaning as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $19.50 to $24.50 per hour.
