The Staffing Operations Manager oversees day-to-day centralized staffing functions across assigned regions or service lines. Reporting to the Director of Centralized Staffing, this role is responsible for staffing execution, real-time scheduling adjustments, system documentation, and ensuring consistency in operational workflows. The Manager plays a key role in leading frontline staffing teams and ensuring efficient use of workforce systems to support optimal patient care and labor utilization.
Intermountain Health is seeking an **Enterprise Manager of Staffing Operations** to lead centralized staffing functions across our flagship facility—Intermountain Medical Center, a 507-bed hospital featuring five interconnected centers of excellence: women’s/newborn care, heart/lung care, emergency/trauma care, outpatient care, and cancer care. As a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, we deliver world-class care and need exceptional leaders to support our mission.
About the Role – Enterprise Manager of Staffing Operations
In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee day-to-day staffing operations across assigned regions or service lines, ensuring optimal labor utilization and safe patient coverage. Reporting to the Director of Centralized Staffing, you’ll lead frontline staffing teams, manage real-time scheduling adjustments, and drive consistency in workflows across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
+ **Daily Operations:** Manage centralized scheduling workflows to ensure accurate shift coverage.
+ **Technology Utilization:** Ensure team proficiency in staffing platforms and maintain accurate documentation.
+ **Staffing Oversight:** Handle escalations, short-notice coverage, and staff reallocation to maintain safe staffing levels.
+ **Process Standardization:** Implement and monitor consistent workflows aligned with enterprise policies.
+ **Collaboration:** Partner with nursing leaders and house supervisors for safe and efficient coverage.
+ **Metrics Monitoring:** Track KPIs such as call fill rates, overtime usage, and cancellation trends.
+ **Training & Compliance:** Ensure team training and adherence to licensure and scheduling rules.
+ **Team Management:** Supervise schedulers and staffing coordinators, fostering engagement and development.
+ **Continuous Improvement:** Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency.
+ **Reporting:** Provide regular updates on staffing trends and operational challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Experience in healthcare operations and staffing/scheduling leadership.
+ Familiarity with staffing software platforms, timekeeping systems, and labor compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, human resources, or business-related field (degree verification required).
Posting Specifics:
+ **Location:** Remote
+ **Schedule:** Full-time, 40 hours/week
+ **Oversight of Peaks, Deserts and Canyons Region**
+ Responsible for **all STC and scheduler functions across the enterprise** (not limited to IMC)

+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
+ May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$50.97 - $78.69
