Position Summary:
Fellows must be members of a defined Priority Population andresidents of New York’s 14th Congressional District.The Climate Curriculum Fellow works collaboratively with the Bronx Green Jobs Center ( BGJC ) senior management team andtraining partners to ensure New Yorkers can access high-quality, credential-aligned training across five BGJC programs: (1) Solar PV and Energy Efficiency, (2) EV Charging, (3) Urban Agriculture/Hydroponics, (4) Environmental Justice, and (5) Green Entrepreneurship. The role helps coordinate participant enrollment, training schedules, curriculum development, and serves as a liaison for instructors, participants, and partner
organizations.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Community Engaged Learning, the Fellow supports the enrollment pipeline (outreach, application, and registration), cohort schedules and logistics, and curriculum development and assessment that empowers instructors to teach effectively and participants to progress toward industry-recognized credentials. The Fellow also communicates at the direction of the AVP with instructors, participants, case managers, and partner organizations, ensuring smooth operations, timely data, and strong participant retention.
Essential Functions:
Leads orientations, site visits, and onboarding; communicates expectations and schedules.
Partners with case managers to coordinate wraparound services and support retention.
Identifies educational partnerships to pursue in preparation of the BGJC’s official launch in Fall 2026.
Assists with the development of curriculum in collaboration with instructors/subject matter experts.
Aligns content with certifications and labor market needs ( NABCEP PV Associate; OSHA -10; GPRO , etc.).
Prepares weekly instructor packets (including agendas, rosters, accommodations, attendance records, supply lists, and evaluation links) before each session.
Coordinates cohort schedules, logistics, rooms/labs, and materials.
Schedules classes, labs, site visits, and guest speakers; ensures materials and equipment are ready.
Administers pre-/post-tests; collects feedback; tracks action items for continuous improvement.
Manages outreach, application, and enrollment processes, and maintains waitlists and confirmations.
Conducts intake interviews; verifies eligibility; collects required documentation.
Maintains accurate participant records in the student database, tracks progress, outcomes, and more as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in office administration, customer service, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with community-based organizations and/or the Bronx/ NYC context.
Knowledge of green industries, sustainability, or workforce training programs.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Minimum Salary: $30/Hour
Maximum Salary: $30/Hour
