The ambition of the Global Licensing & Merchandising Team is to strengthen Ford’s position as a lifestyle brand by delivering engaging, quality, and relevant products & experiences our customers love. Additionally, as our promotional business continues to expand and generate royalties, dedicated support is critical to the overall success of continuing to deliver and maintain quality and consistency conducive to the expectations of our brand. The Operations Specialist for merchandise will provide enhanced internal support for team gear & executive leadership initiatives and effectively manage our global network of suppliers. This role will also drive forward key workstreams necessary to optimize our Ford Racing merchandise efforts across various functions.
What You'll Do
As the Merchandise Operations Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:
+ **Strategic Vendor Management:** Own and optimize relationships with all promotional merchandise vendors globally. You will lead negotiations, manage performance, and ensure our partners deliver high-quality, on-trend products that meet our rigorous brand standards.
+ **Ford Performance Project Leadership:** Act as the central project manager for all Ford Performance merchandise initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the racing team to manage work plans, timelines, and logistics for product launches and event activations, ensuring a seamless approach that aligns with the overall Ford Performance strategy.
+ **Revenue Growth & Process Optimization:** Develop and execute the strategy to centralize global promotional spending through our official channel. You will be responsible for achieving revenue targets, managing budgets, developing KPIs, and increasing royalty flow back to the company.
+ **Market & Trend Analysis** : Serve as the internal expert on consumer insights and market trends in apparel, accessories, and promotional goods. You will leverage this expertise to refresh core collections and guide selections that are modern, desirable, and representative of our brands.
+ **Brand Stewardship & Reporting:** Enforce corporate brand standards across all merchandise and partnerships. You will conduct analysis and develop clear, actionable reporting to drive strategic business decisions for both L&M and Ford Performance.
You Will Have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field
+ 1-3 years of direct partner or vendor management experience.
+ Proven experience achieving revenue targets and managing budgets or financial forecasts.
+ Strong project management experience with a history of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
+ Demonstrated experience with e-commerce and/or retail merchandising principles.
+ High proficiency with digital tools, including the MS Office Suite.
Even Better, If You Have
+ Experience working in a global capacity or with international teams and vendors.
+ Direct experience in the automotive, motorsports, or licensed sport apparel industry.
+ A genuine and demonstrable passion for merchandise with an understanding of automotive brands.
