As an Operations Manager for the FordPay eCommerce Payments team, you will lead and optimize the operational processes that underpin our critical payment services. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day operational excellence, driving strategic initiatives, managing key vendor relationships, and ensuring robust compliance and security across our payment ecosystem. You will be instrumental in shaping the operational strategy for FordPay, directly impacting our ability to provide seamless and secure payment solutions for Ford merchants and dealers globally.
What you’ll do…
+ Drive Operational Excellence: Own the day-to-day health of the FordPay platform, leading incident resolution, managing support queues, and ensuring system stability to provide a seamless payment experience for all users.
+ Build and Scale Operational Processes: Design, document, and implement the playbooks, procedures, and onboarding checklists that allow us to launch new products and support our global network of dealers and merchants effectively.
+ Manage Strategic Vendor & Merchant Relationships: Serve as the primary operational owner for key payment partners (e.g., Fiserv, Stripe), driving performance, managing escalations, and fostering strong collaboration with our internal Ford business units.
+ Ensure Robust Compliance and Security: Lead all operational aspects of security and compliance, including PCI attestations, internal/external audits, and business continuity planning to protect our customers and the business.
+ Lead with Data and Analytics: Define reporting requirements, oversee payment reconciliation, and use data to identify trends, solve complex problems, and inform our strategic decisions.
You’ll have…
+ A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
+ 5+ years of experience in an operational leadership role, with a strong preference for experience in payments, fintech, or large-scale eCommerce operations.
+ Proven experience in diagnosing complex operational issues and implementing scalable solutions.
+ Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex operational concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
+ Excellent project management and prioritization skills; you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities with minimal oversight.
Even better, you may have…
+ Deep subject matter expertise in eCommerce payment methods (Credit Card, ACH), payment gateways, and chargeback management.
+ A strong track record of managing enterprise-level vendor relationships, including performance management (KPIs) and contract oversight.
+ Experience working within a complex ecosystem of internal business units and external partners (e.g., dealers, merchants).
+ A calm, decisive approach to managing high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
+ Direct experience leading the operational workstreams for a major system migration or product launch.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Very minimal, but occasional weekend, off-hours, and holiday support is required (rotational across the team). Occasional flexibility in start and end times as needed to support system launch cycles.
