Your role and responsibilities
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the strategic sourcing activities of a multi-billion dollar acquisition program. This individual will be responsible for monitoring the Automation market, staying up-to-date on the latest trends, technologies, and innovations, and identifying opportunities to leverage these developments to drive value and efficiency in the program's procurement activities. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will manage category spend, analyzing and optimizing the program's expenditure on telecommunication services and other categories, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance supplier performance. This will involve developing and implementing category management plans, conducting market research, and analyzing data to inform sourcing decisions. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will also assess supplier risk, evaluating the potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with the program's suppliers, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure the stability and reliability of the supply chain. This will involve working closely with suppliers, contracting officers, and technical teams to identify and address potential risks, and to develop and implement plans to minimize their impact. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will develop sourcing strategies, creating and implementing plans to acquire goods and services that meet the program's needs, and ensuring that all sourcing activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, and competitive manner. This will involve working closely with stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and client personnel, to identify and prioritize sourcing opportunities, and to develop and implement strategies to drive value and efficiency in the program's procurement activities.
Required technical and professional expertise
* 0-4 years of related work experience
* Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, and Supply Chain Management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex
* analysis to non-technical audiences
* Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.
* Familiarity with supply market trends and supplier capabilities as well supply chain best practices
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the US government
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Experience working in federal procurement or supply chain roles.
* Prior experience in the aviation and/or construction industries.
