Introduction
Your role and responsibilities
Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):
* Develop IBM DataStage Next Generation products using various technologies to complete assigned tasks, ensuring high-quality code and performing unit testing.
* Build the DataStage front-end UI Canvas and continue developing REST components.
* Maintain existing components and promptly fix software defects, focusing on features like subflows, hierarchical data processing, structured data input/output, data modeling, web services, and API (Application Programming Interface) integrations.
* Enhance the runtime code for XMLInput, XMLOutput, and WebService.
* Collaborate with QA (Quality Assurance) to quickly identify and resolve issues.
* Provide timely support for customer cases related to DataStage products and work with TSS (Technical Support Specialist) to deliver technical assistance.
* Work with the UX team to improve DataStage UI design and enhance the user experience.
* Utilize: JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Java, Python, Docker, GIT.
Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Java, Python, Docker, GIT. $264514 to $290157 per year. Full time. AV205.
