    Opportunity to work as part of a development team supporting South Carolina’s statewide ERP system.

    Scope:

    + The candidate will provide functional/technical services related to the design, development, testing, and on-going maintenance of SAP software. The major components of SAP included are Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Payroll Management, Fiori-based Portal, Finance, Materials Management, Supplier Relationship Management, SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System.

    Role:

    + Collaborates with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of SAP software programs and applications.

    + Provides SAP support including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and resolution.

    + Participates in team activities and team planning in regard to improving team skills, awareness, and quality of work.

    + Documents processes, designs, and testing activities.

    + Performs data updates utilizing tools such as SAP LSMW and EPI-USE Data Sync Manager (DSM).

    + Assists the functional team with technical direction to design high-quality solutions.

    + Provides solid, error-free, and efficient technical solutions with minimal management supervision.

    + Working knowledge of the HR cluster tables.

    + Enhancements for dynamic actions.

    + Provides problem resolution for SAP support issues to internal business partners and maintains support logs and technical documentation.

    + Works with developers to identify and resolve issues with programs that are causing system performance problems.

    + Demonstrates a high level of communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

    + This position will be part of the team responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, debugging, and unit testing the HEI interface processing.

    + Codes, tests, and implements ABAP programs and modifications in the Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.

    + Creates and configures enterprise structure (personnel areas and personnel sub-areas) and personnel structure (employee groups and employee subgroups).

    + Liaises with the functional and business teams to discuss, design, and build robust/efficient solutions.

    + Provides insight and assistance to functional and development teams to support and sustain those solutions.

    + Liaises with development team members to maintain and develop coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized objects.

    + Performs data retrievals utilizing common SAP data extraction tools such as Ad Hoc Query, Report Painter, and SAP Tables.

    + Prepares comprehensive documentation required according to methodology for all development work.

    + Supports the project during all stages, ensuring that in areas of assigned responsibility milestones and related sign-offs are achieved on a timely basis and in accordance with the current project plan.

    + Creates and configures organizational plan and organizational structure.

    + Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

    + Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.

    + Extensive experience in all the WRICEF (Workflow, Reports, Interface, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) elements for SAP ERP HCM.

    + LSMW/BDC programming using both session and call transaction.

    + Applies updates and fixes to software applications, including OSS Note research and evaluation.

    + Unit test development and execution, including test script development.

    + Provides after-hours support of the SAP system as needed.

    Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management or a related technical field and two years of experience in computer system development, maintenance, and modification; or 10 years’ experience in computer application system development and modification; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    + 4+ years’ HCM functional experience using SAP in a professional environment.

    + Understanding of SAP Portal.

    Preferred Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):

    + Functional knowledge of SAP HCM and SuccessFactors.

    + Mail services in SAP through standard API.

    + General understanding of the accounting process.

    + Knowledge of enterprise-level applications including ERP.

    + 1+ year of SAP Workflow experience.

    Required Education:

    + Bachelor’s or equivalent degree and experience
