SGI Global is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to support the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) under the Preparedness Planning, Program Management, Administrative, and Training & Exercise Services IDIQ. The Administrative Specialist will provide comprehensive administrative, organizational, and logistical support to project managers and technical staff in the execution of emergency management and homeland security initiatives across the National Capital Region (NCR).
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide administrative and clerical support to project managers and technical teams.
+ Maintain project files, records, correspondence, and document archives in compliance with organizational standards.
+ Prepare, proof, and format project deliverables, reports, meeting notes, and communications.
+ Assist in the coordination of meetings, workshops, and training events, including scheduling, logistics, and attendee communications.
+ Track deliverables, deadlines, and project milestones to ensure timely completion of tasks.
+ Support procurement, invoicing, and documentation processes consistent with task order and contract requirements.
+ Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate information exchange and ensure administrative consistency.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations and client requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum five years of relevant administrative experience may substitute for a degree).
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
+ Experience supporting government contracts, emergency management, or homeland security programs preferred.
+ U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation commensurate with contract requirements.
