Description
In this role, you'll provide day-to-day oversight and operational leadership of the Sleep Laboratory, working closely with the Operations Manager. You'll directly supervise both technical and administrative staff, using input from the Medical Director, Administrative Director and Principal Technologists to guide workflows, evaluate performance, and implement processes that drive quality and efficiency. Oversee all Sleep Laboratory staffing and Human Resources-related issues, as well as provide backup and assistance to the overall Clinical Neurophysiology management team at all UCLA Sleep Lab locations as needed for Laboratory operations.
Salary Range: $45.69-99.76/hr
Qualifications
+ A bachelor's degree or equivilent experience is required, while a master's degree is preferred
+ 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
+ Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
+ BCLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross -
+ Strong background in sleep laboratory operations, including compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements (e.g., AASM, Joint Commission)
+ Expertise in polysomnographic testing, scoring, and sleep study interpretation.
+ Proficiency in budgeting, payroll management, and inventory control to ensure financial efficiency.
+ Experience implementing and improving workflows, protocols, and operational procedures in a clinical setting.
+ Strong data analysis skills to track and report performance metrics.
+ Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate technical and administrative staff.
+ Experience in staffing, recruitment, and HR processes, including scheduling and performance management.
