**Functional area:** Project Management; Finance / Controlling
**Remuneration:** Exempt
The **Senior Manager, Project Controls** will lead and oversee project controls functions across a portfolio of complex projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance in financial reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking. Serve as a strategic liaison between project controls, finance, and execution teams to drive alignment on controls strategy and deliver actionable insights for decision-making.
Role Responsibilities:
+ Lead coordination efforts with Execution PMs, Controllers, and Preconstruction teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in project control data across multiple projects
+ Oversee preparation of complex reports on budget performance, forecasts, and cost variances; review change orders and invoices for compliance and accuracy
+ Manage Tax Equity and PR processes for high-impact projects; act as escalation point for invoice or PO discrepancies
+ Guide development of advanced dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools to maintain data integrity and provide executive-ready insights
+ Mentor junior associates and managers on project control processes and best practices; deliver training and coaching to support development
+ Represent project controls in cross-functional working groups and special projects aimed at improving systems or methodologies
+ Supervise project control functions across a portfolio of projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business priorities
+ Drive consistency in project financial reporting and forecasting; review and validate project variances and provide actionable insights to Execution and Finance teams
+ Support implementation of new tools, dashboards, and reporting standards to improve visibility and efficiency across project lifecycles
+ Represent the team in operational reviews or steering committees, providing updates on performance metrics, risks, and process enhancements
Job Requirements and Experiences:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or a related field
+ Minimum of 7 years in project controls, financial analysis, or related discipline (prior people management preferred)
+ Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
+ Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
+ Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
+ Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
+ Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
+ Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
+ Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
+ Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
+ Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
+ Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
+ Expert-level understanding of project controls frameworks, systems, and compliance processes
+ Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and integrated reporting
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to resolve complex, cross-functional challenges
+ Experience mentoring and managing team members and third-party vendors
+ Proficiency with real-time applications and project management software
+ Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6; familiarity with spend curve forecasting and schedule-driven cost modeling; and exposure to cross-functional estimating workflows involving engineering, procurement, and finance are all preferred, but not required
