Job Summary and Qualifications

•Collaborates with facility leadership and staff to promote a culture of evidence-based practice, nursing research, innovation, excellence, and recognition.
+
•Collaborates with facility clinical nurses and leadership to develop and embed the nursing professional practice model into nursing practice throughout the organization.
+
•Creates and implements innovative ways to transform organizational culture, systems and services.
+
•Seeks opportunities to improve facility or interfacility processes, resulting in more efficient or effective services.
+
•Provides support for Nursing initiatives such as patient experience, nursing engagement, leadership development and retention. Disseminates data to appropriate facilities and assists with action planning when benchmarks are not being attained.
+
•Assists with the development and implementation of a division framework and strategy to prioritize, delegate, and execute initiatives that align with the enterprise strategy for nursing operations.
+
•Spends a minimum of 75% of time in the facilities, conducts organizational assessments/gap analyses to meet identified areas of focus for improvement, provides coaching, development and support to nursing leadership to obtain nursing strategy goals.

•Collaborates with different levels of facility nursing leadership to facilitate effective change throughout the organization.
+
•Develops and implements organizational strategies and infrastructure to support clinical quality, operational effectiveness, and shared decision making.
+
•Provides guidance to the facilities in achieving professional nursing designation programs (initial and re-designation) including providing interim monitoring reports, developing business plans and annual budget related to program expenses.
+
•Spends greater than75% of time within the facilities, serves as a liaison with all facilities in the organization to promote nursing excellence.
+
•Provides support for shared decision-making council structure (facility and division) and mentors clinical staff in leadership skills to ensure successful shared decision structures and processes.
+
•Serves as liaison between leadership, outside certifying organizations, staff, physicians, and the community.
+
•Participates in division level activities and committees as requested in order to improve nursing practice and patient care.
+
•Maintains current knowledge of applicable policies and procedures as evident in performance.
+
•Designs and produces reports/trended data/graphs etc. as required.
+
•Performs other duties as assigned.

•Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science

•Master’s Degree in Nursing Science or Healthcare

•5+ years of clinical leadership managing large scale and/or complex projects

•Change Management/rapid cycle improvement experience
