Position Purpose
Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a **Lead Administrative Assistant** to provide high-level administrative and operational support to senior leadership, including the Quality and Compliance Manager, Director of Clinical Operations, Interim Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Medical Officer. This role ensures seamless coordination of clinical and administrative activities, supporting our mission to deliver compassionate, clinically excellent healthcare to those in need, with special attention to the poor and vulnerable.
What You Will Do
+ Supervise and mentor a team of Administrative Assistants.
+ Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate events for senior staff.
+ Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track follow-up actions.
+ Draft and format correspondence, reports, and presentations.
+ Maintain organized filing systems and assist with compliance documentation.
+ Support program activities, workshops, and staff training sessions.
+ Track program metrics and compile data for evaluations and audits.
+ Serve as a primary administrative point of contact for leadership.
+ Coordinate travel arrangements, reimbursements, and purchasing requests.
+ Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and Mercy Care policies.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration (or equivalent experience).
+ 2–3 years of administrative experience.
+ Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings, knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Center operations, and familiarity with scheduling or HRIS systems preferred.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
