    Printing Press Assistant / Flexographic Press Helper

    **Location:** Kansas City, KS 66103

    **Pay:** $18.75/hour (increases to $19.12 upon hire; up to $24.90 when fully promoted)

    **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a **motivated and dependable Flexographic Press Assistant/Helper** to support our press operators in the safe and efficient production of printed labels and packaging materials. This is a great opportunity for someone with prior printing press or manufacturing experience who wants to build a long-term career in the printing industry.

     

    You’ll be trained on our **Flexographic printing equipment** , working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with clear opportunities for advancement into a **Press Operator** role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist the Press Operator with press setup, changeovers, and production runs

    + Load and unload materials (rolls, inks, substrates, coatings)

    + Monitor press operation and report any mechanical or quality issues

    + Perform quality checks for registration, color consistency, and defects

    + Stack, package, and label finished materials per job specifications

    + Maintain cleanliness of the press area and assist with wash-ups and maintenance

    + Complete basic production and quality documentation accurately

    + Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times

    Qualifications:

    + Experience operating or assisting with **printing press equipment** (Flexographic experience preferred, but training provided)

    + Ability to work in a **fast-paced manufacturing environment**

    + Strong attention to detail and quality
