Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We're seeking a talented Corporate Counsel professional to help transform internet access worldwide through Project Kuiper. You'll play a pivotal role in negotiating contracts that support our mission to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.
Key job responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft comprehensive contracts for commercial customers and channel partners, with a focus on mobility engagements
- Develop innovative legal strategies that support business objectives while managing organizational risk
- Counsel business teams on complex contractual and legal considerations
- Create scalable legal processes that enable rapid business decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Project Kuiper's global connectivity goals

Your day will be a blend of strategic legal problem-solving and collaborative innovation. You'll engage with cross-functional teams, crafting agreements that balance legal precision with business agility. From reviewing and negotiating mobility contracts to developing creative legal strategies, you'll be at the forefront of expanding satellite connectivity.

Our legal team is a collaborative network of forward-thinking professionals dedicated to supporting transformative technology initiatives. We work closely with business leaders, engineers, and global partners to navigate complex legal landscapes and drive Project Kuiper's mission.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
