Basic Job Functions:
The role of the FluidTechnician is to be responsible for assisting the team achieve the overall operational objectives for the Pickle Line Tandem Cold Mill (PLTCM) and Temper Mill in keeping all operational fluid systems running within their set parameters along with managing the fluid inventories of these respective areas. A fluid technician tests various chemistries for critical fluid systems on the Pickle Tandem Mill, addresses issues when chemistries deviate from process control limits, manages inventory of fluids and fluid testing/treatment, and performs basic maintenance on the Pickle Tandem Line fluid systems. Ability to work rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays and weekends.
Nucor Steel West Virginias greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.

Minimum Qualifications:
One year manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Pickle Line experience
+ Experience with Inbound/Outbound Railcar/Truck Preferred
+ Knowledge of acid testing requirements
+ Ability to operate overhead crane & forklift
+ Understand how Pickle Line acid systems affects other areas of the division
+ Strong mechanical background
+ Ability to coordinate with vendors and plan future (weekly/ monthly) work
