As an Electrical Engineer, you will engage in all aspects of our safety and quality plans, demonstrating a commitment to an injury-free environment. You will complete entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities, while learning to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems. You will also assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during the preconstruction process, and complete systems analysis for select projects.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in safety and quality plans, promoting an injury-free environment.
+ Complete entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
+ Develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information.
+ Assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction.
+ Coordinate mechanical and electrical scopes of work during the bid process.
+ Develop sequencing requirements of various systems and provide scheduling input.
+ Perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
+ Assist with the shop drawing/submittal process in compliance with contract documents.
+ Contribute to the commissioning process, including developing pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
+ Lead and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
+ Provide mentoring to less experienced co-workers.
+ Create M/E tools and innovative solutions to improve processes and work products.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to perform work accurately and timely.
+ Intermediate communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Proficiency in MS Office.
+ Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
+ Knowledge of means and methods of construction management.
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of construction and/or engineering experience preferred.
+ Experience with Healthcare or similar projects is a plus.
+ PE licenses and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design are advantageous.
+ Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite presence at a project in Fort Worth. The role demands a hands-on approach and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. The work environment is dynamic, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $77.00/hr.
