Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled and dedicated **Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)** to join a **busy Neurology practice** in Tampa, FL. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a highly respected medical team in an environment that values teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a **neurology outpatient or office setting** and be comfortable assisting with **neurology-specific procedures** . This is a fast-paced office that requires initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach — someone who’s ready to jump in and support wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Greet and prepare patients for exams and neurological procedures in a professional, compassionate manner.
+ Collect and record vital signs, perform patient intake, and maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
+ Assist providers during neurological exams and procedures such as EEGs, EMGs, nerve conduction studies, and others as directed.
+ Administer medications and injections as ordered by the provider (if certified).
+ Perform routine clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
+ Maintain exam rooms, instruments, and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
+ Support front-office tasks including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all clinical, OSHA, and organizational standards.
+ Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and provide exceptional patient service.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Graduate of a **CAAHEP** or **ABHES-accredited** Medical Assistant program.
+ Current Medical Assistant certification from **AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA** .
+ Current **CPR certification** .
+ **Minimum of 6 months of experience** in a **neurology outpatient or office setting** required.
+ Experience assisting with **neurology procedures** required.
+ Proficiency with **EMR systems** and multitasking in a clinical environment.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to remain professional, calm, and efficient in a busy clinical setting.
