Job Title: Phone Triage RN
Job Description
This role is centered on patient education primarily conducted via phone, including in-person guidance for glucose meters and Ozempic shot instructions. Additional tasks involve confirming prior authorizations, calling in refills, and managing lab orders.
Responsibilities
+ Provide patient education primarily over the phone, including in-person sessions for glucose meters and Ozempic injections.
+ Manage and confirm prior authorizations and medication refills.
+ Handle lab orders and ensure accurate documentation.
+ Utilize electronic health records, particularly EPIC, for patient care management.
+ Perform phone-based triage and clinical decision-making efficiently.
Essential Skills
+ Active RN license in New Jersey.
+ Minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience.
+ Strong patient education skills, particularly in glucose meters and GLP1 injections.
+ Experience with prior authorizations and medication refills.
+ Familiarity with lab order processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in electronic medical record systems such as EPIC.
+ Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.
+ Knowledge of endocrinology and metabolic conditions.
+ Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to in-person education when necessary.
Work Environment
The position is onsite, specializing in Metabolic Medicine, Thyroid, Diabetes, and Endocrinology within the Medical Arts Pavilion, a healthcare hub for outpatient specialties. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Princeton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
