    Job Title: Process Engineer

    Job Description

    The Process Engineer will develop and improve manufacturing processes in a light assembly and fabrication environment. This role focuses on driving productivity improvements to reduce labor and overhead costs. The engineer must possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working both independently with minimal guidance and within a wide variety of cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage capital equipment investments from business case through production launch.

    + Implement process improvement projects to achieve plant productivity targets.

    + Design and procure tools, jigs, and fixtures.

    + Support existing work cells experiencing equipment or process issues.

    + Initiate stocking of expendable tooling and critical spares in the MRO crib.

    + Submit Engineering Changes to make updates to Bills of Materials.

    + Update Cycle Times and Product Routings in the ERP system.

    + Submit product routing updates as required for configurator updates.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sustaining Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operational Excellence, and Operations.

    + Utilize tools like PFMEA, SWOT Analysis, PICK Charts, DMAIC for problem-solving.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

    + Minimum 3-5 years of related experience.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude.

    + Experience with tool design and engineering support in a light manufacturing and assembly environment.

    + Proficiency with Creo or equivalent solid modeling software.

    + Experience with product routings and bills of materials.

    + Demonstrated ability to work effectively with time and resource constraints.

    + Strong teamwork and internal customer-relation skills.

    + Ability to work both independently and within teams.

    + Effective data collection, analysis, interpretation, and resulting decision-making.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with AutoCAD 2D.

    + Knowledge in power the person warehouse automation.

    Work Environment

    The position is onsite, first shift in Greenfield, IN, USA. The manager offers flexible scheduling with a start time between 6am and 8am. The team consists of 11 members, including a manager, two other process engineers, CNC, and automation technicians.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $55.20/hr.
