Job Title: Field Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician to perform comprehensive field audits of telecommunications and electrical distribution activities. This role involves visual inspection and recording of equipment and structures, ensuring high-quality data collection while meeting production standards.
Responsibilities
+ Perform field audits of existing telecommunications and electrical distribution activities.
+ Visually identify, inspect, and record equipment and structures in the right-of-way.
+ Take detailed field photos that tie directly to engineering/planning software.
+ Correlate route map and field photos directly to time stamps and field locations.
+ Record attributes and current conditions of overhead and ground-level utility structures.
+ Maintain consistent quality data while achieving production standards.
+ Use measuring equipment and SLR cameras to establish a photo record.
+ Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time, and budget constraints.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of previous fielding experience.
+ Experience in data collection, telecommunication, and distribution engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Katapult experience preferred.
+ Preferred location in the Cleveland to Pittsburgh area.
Work Environment
The role involves travel throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, primarily consisting of day trips with occasional overnight travel. Hotels will be booked for overnight stays, and meals can be expensed while in the field. Mileage for work travel is reimbursed at the federal maximum rate of 70 cents per mile.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
