    Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team, focusing on quality planning, process control, product validation, and continuous improvement. This role involves interpreting and reviewing customer contracts, maintaining essential certifications, and supporting the shop floor as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop quality planning to support purchase order and drawing requirements, process control, product validation, and continual improvement.

    + Review customer contracts and interpret requirements for new jobs, requesting changes or corrections as necessary.

    + Develop, implement, and conduct training on Quality Management System standards and procedures.

    + Maintain AS, ISO, NADCAP, and customer certifications and coordinate all third-party and special process audits.

    + Develop reporting formats and report to management on customer submittals, nonconforming products, customer escapes, and PM levels.

    + Conduct training sessions on QA/QC activities and provide support to the shop floor.

    + Collaborate with management, engineering, and other staff to support production processes and product validation.

    + Maintain required customer documentation and review specification changes for product impact.

    + Perform MRB activities including evaluating root cause and corrective/preventive actions, and report to customers as required.

    + Work with Manufacturing Engineering to apply statistical methods to enhance manufacturing requirements and product validation.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum two years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.

    + One year of experience managing AS 9100/ISO quality management systems.

    + Two years of experience in the aerospace industry.

    + Experience conducting internal and external quality audits.

    + Proficiency in documentation such as FAIR, ECO, and MRB.

    + Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Aerospace CNC Machine shop or contract manufacturing is ideal.

    + Candidates with a technical degree are preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.

    + Target candidates have 5+ years of related experience.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is primarily an office setting with limited exposure to the factory environment for reviewing the status of routers, BOMs, and station plans. This position does not involve direct labor or supervision.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
