    Job Title: Production Operator

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Production Operator where you will play a pivotal role in manufacturing high-quality printing ink. We provide comprehensive training to operate specialized machinery and carry out TPM activities. Openings are available for the 3rd shift, with opportunities on both the Canning line/packout and as a Batchweigher/Mixer.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and maintain the mill to run ink batches at proper settings.

    + Package finished products in various containers and apply labels.

    + Clean and maintain machines according to TPM standards.

    + Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.

    + Weigh-up batches, following the process order of addition and adjusting auto/manual steps.

    + Discharge pigment and operate the mixer safely, adhering to all Mixer SOPs.

    + Operate the Hockmeyer mill, maintaining optimum OEE standards.

    + Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times.

    + Operate equipment such as the press out unit, pump filter, and forklift.

    + Act as a QC liaison by providing ink samples, making adjustments, and recording data.

    + Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.

    + Assist with repacking operations.

    Essential Skills

    + General production and machine operating skills.

    + Mechanical aptitude and inclination.

    + 6+ months of production experience.

    + 3+ months of operating experience.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Willingness to learn and adapt.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift experience is preferred but not required, as training is provided.

    + Experience in mixing and pump filter industries is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a manufacturing facility dedicated to ink production. Employees receive uniforms to protect personal clothing from ink exposure, and have access to a locker room and other necessary accommodations. Shift differentials are available, with a $1 increase for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift.E

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsville, KS.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
