Fabrication Technician
**Location:** Arlington, WA
**Pay:** $20-25/hr, DOE
**Shift:** 6 AM - 4:30 PM, M-Th
Job Description
The Fabrication Technician is responsible for using hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools to fabricate aerospace parts. The role involves cutting, forming, bending, and straightening metal to meet customer specifications using various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Use hammers, saws, and grinders to cut, form, bend, and straighten metal.
+ Operate shrinker/stretcher, arbor press, stretch form, router, shear, brake press, and hot joggle.
+ Perform work instructions and assisted setup procedures.
+ Inspect the first part run thoroughly.
+ Run parts after job setup is completed.
+ Meet job standard times.
+ Recognize and troubleshoot production problems.
+ Make minor adjustments to keep parts within tolerance.
+ Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using standard measuring tools.
+ Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
+ Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with assembly and fabrication in the aerospace industry.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to follow instructions with strong attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Demonstrates a positive work attitude and punctuality.
+ Proficient use of basic measuring tools like calipers and protractors.
+ Experience with MS Windows-based computer systems.
+ Strong mathematical skills.
+ One year of on-the-job experience.
+ Completion of an aptitude test during the interview process.

Work Environment
The position is based in a machine shop that manufactures structural parts for the aerospace industry. The environment requires adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of safety equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
