    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. You will perform a variety of tasks including setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of CNC machinery and other production equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform setup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on 3 axis CNC machinery.

    + Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.

    + Prepare and set up CNC machinery for scheduled production runs.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on packaging and production machines.

    + Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.

    + Interpret electronic prints, die drawings, and supporting documentation to determine maintenance requirements.

    + Operate window fabrication equipment as directed.

    + Set up machines, including blocking, guides, jigs, drills, and dies, to produce products within documented tolerances.

    + Operate saws, punch and drill presses, mills, and other equipment to produce window parts.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in 3 phase, industrial, blueprint reading, and PLC troubleshooting.

    + Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, and machine repair.

    + Strong skills in pneumatics, mechanical troubleshooting, and schematic interpretation.

    + Expertise in preventive maintenance, repair, hydraulics, and welding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED with 5-8 years of experience with 3 axis CNC Machinery or equivalent education and experience.

    + Proficiency in maintaining complex manufacturing machinery.

    + Knowledge of maintenance and electrical techniques.

    + Ability to use measuring tapes and other hand tools effectively.

    + Competence in implementing preventive and corrective machinery processes.

    + Experience with computer applications for word processing, modifying Excel spreadsheets, inventory control, and reporting.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a manufacturing environment with a cement floor. Some areas of the facility lack climate control, exposing employees to varying temperatures ranging from 30 to 100 degrees. The noise level can be moderate to high. The position may require overtime hours on short notice. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 4 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $34.14/hr.
