    Job Title: Machine Builder

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team as a Machine Builder in a rapidly growing company specializing in the manufacturing of heavy industrial equipment for the door industry. With a history spanning 75 years, this company designs and manufactures CNC machinery for residential, commercial, and architectural doors.

    Responsibilities

    + Work as part of a team in a shop environment to build and assemble machinery frames and mechanical components.

    + Install mechanical parts on machines according to manuals, blueprints, and specifications.

    + Use measuring tools and precision devices to ensure accuracy during assembly.

    + Operate power and hand tools effectively.

    + Collaborate with a partner to complete tasks and assignments, including heavy lifting.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a mechanical trade such as Automotive Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or Machine Builder.

    + Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

    + Proficient in using hand and power tools.

    + Strong troubleshooting abilities.

    + Team-player attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to specialized equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical vocational training is a plus.

    + Experience with calipers and manual machining.

    + Ability to perform manual tapping and drilling.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and other web-based tools for record keeping.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a shop environment with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, and Friday from 5:30 am to 10:30 am, offering the opportunity to enjoy an early start to the weekend.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Petaluma, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $38.50/hr.
