    Description

    Receiving Inspection and/or Production Inspection / Audits.

    • Inspects manufactured products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to blueprints, specifications and standards.

    • Inspects a variety of units using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.

    • Make decisions regarding product acceptance per product documentation and company workmanship criteria.

    • Document inspection activities on appropriate inspection records.

    • Maintain inspection records in an organized manner.

    • Document product discrepancies per company procedures.

    • Reads, interprets and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation.

    • Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

    • Completes First Article Inspection (FAI) forms to ensure compliance with requirements, while inspecting FAI units.

    • Capable of supporting multiple product lines and/or commodities.

    • Answer quality & inspection questions.

    • Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications and complete trainings as required.

    • Ability to prioritize numerous tasks to meet schedule needs.

    • May perform other job duties as required and be available for overtime, as needed

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    HS diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience is required.

    • Must be able to pass an eye exam with or without glasses along with a color test.

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    • Be proficient in blueprint reading / GD&T and able to explain to others

    • Familiarity with AS9102, First Article Inspection & Final Inspection processes

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    • Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

    • SAP experience and NDT knowledge a plus

    • Accuracy and attention to detail is highly important

    • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of internal and external customers and support groups

    • Organizational skills with the ability to work under stress.

    This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $40.78 - $40.78/hr.
