    Job Title: Experimental Operations Avionics Technician

     

    Pay up to 40/hr

     

    15k relocation/ bonuses upfront in first pay check

    Job Description

    As an Experimental Operations Avionics Technician, you will work on AW609 tilt rotor aircraft, supporting flight test operational activity and ensuring the aircraft is properly configured for each certification and experimental test. You will also conduct functional test procedures to ensure avionics systems are functioning within design parameters, and troubleshoot avionics systems to identify non-conformities and defects.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform inspections on the aircraft as instructed through Engineering Technical Instructions.

    + Prepare the experimental aircraft for flight by performing the daily inspection, towing, briefing with pilots, launching, and recovering aircraft into the hangar.

    + Perform Functional Test Procedures to test systems on the ground prior to flight to ensure system functionality and flight safety.

    + Perform first-of-type and prototype installations and software with engineering input and work instructions.

    + Follow job cards to remove and install LRUs and components as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 8-10 years of hands-on experience with operating aircraft (rotor or fixed wing).

    + Ability to perform avionics system troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with experimental activity or experimental prototype aircraft preferred.

    + Skills in helicopter operations, avionics installation, and repair.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.

    This is a 1st shift position, working from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The role is based in a high-tech manufacturing facility, where the pace is fast and the opportunity to work overtime and weekends is available.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
