Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our client's team in Fullerton, California. The role involves supporting critical accounting functions during audits and year-end processes while collaborating closely with the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Investigate and analyze accounting discrepancies and variances to ensure financial accuracy.
• Generate and review audit reports to support compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of year-end accounting tasks.
• Utilize Sage X3 accounting software to manage and process financial data.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and detailed reports.
• Conduct research on accounting entries to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist in preparing reports for management review.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Controller to support the accounting department.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Sage X3 accounting software is required.
• Strong knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Ability to analyze financial variances and discrepancies effectively.
• Familiarity with audit processes and compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
