Description We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. This role focuses on business-to-business collections, requiring strong analytical and organizational skills to manage a high volume of accounts effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced Excel functions and a proven track record in commercial and consumer collections.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 286 business accounts, ensuring timely payments and addressing overdue balances.

• Conduct business-to-business collection activities, maintaining clear and detail-oriented communication with clients to resolve payment issues.

• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, to analyze account data and track collection performance.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and provide solutions for payment delays.

• Participate in virtual training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.

• Monitor collection activity and prepare regular reports for management on account statuses.

• Follow established credit and collection processes to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the collections workflow. Requirements • 3-5 years of experience in commercial and consumer collections.

• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Solid understanding of credit and collection processes, with a focus on business-to-business transactions.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients.

• Ability to manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience with virtual training platforms and remote work tools.

• Proven ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.

• Familiarity with billing and collection systems.
