Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting compliance with financial regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the security industry. This contract is expected to be about 3 months in length and will be fully onsite in Bridgewater, NJ (5 days a week).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial statements.

• Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and implement process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies in all financial processes.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Utilize ERP systems to streamline and manage accounting operations efficiently.

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements • Proven experience with month-end close processes, including preparing financial reports.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles.

• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with accuracy.

• Expertise in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and their application within accounting functions.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure financial accuracy.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
