    Job Title: Shop Hand

    Job Description

    + The role involves assisting with all assembly functions to ensure that production departments can maintain their value-added activities without interruption

    Job Responsibilities

    + Familiarize with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to perform accurate measurements to part specifications

    + Operate drills, saws, and tape measures effectively

    + Read blueprints and ensure quality control of parts

    + Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished products

    + Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units as required

    + Hold authority and responsibility to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected

    + Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices with adherence to PPE requirements

    + Follow written and verbal instructions to complete assignments

    + Understand and adhere to company 5S standards

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of assembly experience

    + Mechanically inclined

    + Attention to detail

    + Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical assembly

    Shift

    **1st Shift:** Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $19.76/hr.
