Job Title: Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set-up Technician for the day shift, working from 7am to 3:30pm. This role requires a dedicated professional with a focus on precision machining and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct short run, precision CNC machining and manage 1st runs.
+ Set up and operate CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined metallic and non-metallic parts.
+ Specialize in setting up mill turn sub spindle live tooling lathes with minimal or no supervision from start to finish.
+ Work closely with Programming and Manufacturing Manager to provide feedback on cycle time reduction and machine optimization.
+ Provide guidance and instruction to other machine operators, machinists, or other personnel, as assigned.
+ Collaborate with other personnel/departments, providing input for machining, CNC programming, and quality processes.
+ Ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and quality products meeting customer specifications.
+ Review and study CAD drawings, models, blueprints, and other documentation to determine machining requirements.
+ Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, including loading and downloading of CNC programs or offsets.
+ Select, align, and secure work holding/fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines.
+ Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications and document in-process inspection data.
+ Coordinate with other departments for machining and production-related issues.
Essential Skills
+ Intermediate to Journeyman level CNC Mill Machining Experience.
+ Process-oriented with the ability to adapt to established processes.
+ Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize critical tasks.
+ Experience with vertical and horizontal CNC machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5-axis CNC Mill Experience.
+ Knowledge of Mastercam and Renishaw probe systems.
+ Experience with Mazak CNCs is a plus.
+ Willingness to consider candidates with 4-axis experience.

Work Environment
Work in a clean machining facility equipped with over 10 CNC machines, with new additions and enhancements underway including a clean room and QC area. The day shift is supported by a collaborative team of 5 programmers/machinists, fostering an environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
