Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder responsible for preparing parts from raw materials, spot welding, and fabricating standard products. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare parts needed for production from raw materials.
+ Spot weld and fabricate standard products.
+ Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control.
+ Inspect the quality of prepared raw materials before welding into each product and report discrepancies.
+ Assist in large project construction and assembly when necessary.
+ Measure and cut raw materials for fabricating parts as needed.
+ Position pieces to be spot welded using measuring instruments and hand tools according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches.
+ Log accurate data into the ERP system for productivity tracking.
+ Actively seek ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company.
Essential Skills
+ 6 months - 1 year machine operator experience with metal fabrication.
+ 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ 1-5 years of experience setting up and operating spot welders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous spot-welding experience.
+ Experience within sheet metal or metal industries.
+ Ability to interpret documents and drawings.
+ Proficiency in mathematics to solve problems.
+ Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
+ Organized with attention to detail to optimize quality processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
