Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will observe mechanical and electrical devices in operation, listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble, and dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. You will troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and work on baggers and scale machines. Additionally, you will run and pull wire, inspect parts for imperfections, and use tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Repair or replace defective parts.
+ Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
+ Lubricate and clean parts, equipment, and machinery.
+ Test and adjust equipment to meet performance specifications.
+ Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
+ Sharpen and reshape tools as necessary.
+ Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
+ Repair electrical equipment.
+ Follow plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
+ Work with low volt to high volt 24v to 240v.
+ Repair and troubleshoot conveyor systems and hydraulics.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
+ Competence in reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders.
+ Ability to maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems.
+ Proficiency in maintaining electrical equipment including motors, control boxes, welders, and PLCs.
+ 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Basic PLC input/output troubleshooting experience.
+ Basic VFD programming experience.
+ Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and food processing equipment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a food manufacturing facility with a temperature-controlled environment. Some areas will be hot due to fryers, while others may be cold due to normal processing conditions. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including hair nets and beard nets, must be worn, and no loose jewelry is allowed. Full coverage attire is required to ensure safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
