Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist who can operate and manage their own setups and runs on CNC machines with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of precision measurement tools and blueprint interpretation, and be adept at using Fanuc Controls. This role requires an individual who can quickly adapt and start contributing immediately.

Responsibilities

+ Perform setups and runs on CNC machines independently.

+ Utilize and interpret blueprints, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers accurately.

+ Operate machines using Fanuc Controls with proficiency.

+ Manage a two-machine cell effectively with little direction.

+ Maintain and use personal tools for machining tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.

+ Proficiency in using Haas, Kia, and Doosan machines.

+ Experience with 3 Axis Mill and Mill Turn lathe operations.

+ Strong knowledge of G Codes and M Codes.

+ Ability to perform setups and use Fanuc Controls efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Background in Mill Turn operations.

+ Possession of personal tools including 6” calipers, 0-1 inch micrometer, dial indicator, edge finder, wrenches, dead blow hammer, and Allen wrenches.

Work Environment

Our machine shop is a smaller, climate-controlled environment with around 50 employees, fostering a family-like atmosphere. Work hours for the first shift are from 7am to 3:30pm, with opportunities for overtime by starting earlier and working on Saturdays from 7am to noon. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
