    Job Title: Assembly Technician

    Job Description

    As an Assembly Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the production line, ensuring the correct assembly and testing of products. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to assemble units, following strict guidelines to maintain high-quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret schematics

    + Identify and record defect data for non-working assemblies.

    + Assemble electronic/electro-mechanical units

    + Follow work instructions proper product assembly.

    + Monitor assembly line machinery and tools for proper functionality.

    + Visually inspect and/or test finished products

    + Load and unload components into fixtures and machines.

    + Package finished products into boxes

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in manufacturing and assembly.

    + Familiarity with touch screen technology.

    + Experience with small parts and mechanical assembly.

    + Electronics assembly knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and Word.

    + Strong reading and visual comprehension with a basic grasp of mathematics.

    + Ability to read measuring devices for assembly and inspection duties.

    + Attention to detail and ability to spot small defects in products.

    + Capability to work in an environment requiring long periods of sitting or standing, and use of microscope or magnification light.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in a manufacturing environment that is temperature controlled year-round, ensuring a clean and bright workspace. The facility operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. During peak summer periods, overtime is mandatory, with the possibility of working 1-2 Saturdays per month.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
