    Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician (1st Shift)

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team to assist in the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products. Your expertise in reading and understanding wiring schematics and diagrams (480v, 120v, 24v) will be crucial. Experience with crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing UL panels and sub-assemblies is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and switchgear systems, focusing on 3-phase power distribution.

    + Pull, crimp, install, and test wiring utilizing point-to-point techniques.

    + Utilize tools such as multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and torque wrenches efficiently.

    + Perform part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedule.

    + Resolve routine questions and problems, escalating complex issues to higher levels.

    + Work under direct supervision with frequent output monitoring.

    + Maintain documentation and update panel layouts as needed.

    + Follow manufacturing protocols and lean production principles.

    + Adhere to detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics.

    + Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area per 5S standards.

    + Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.

    + Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members.

    + Keep inventory personnel informed of spare parts inventory and locations.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of experience in electrical wiring and assembly.

    + Proficiency in reading wiring schedules, schematics, or visual aids.

    + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    + Competency in operating a personal computer, including Windows-based systems and related software.

    + Strong mathematical skills for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, schematics, and role-specific details.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Schooling experience can be considered in lieu of hands-on experience (TCAT, Delta Tech, Moore Tech, Southwest).

    + Must pass an assessment.

    + Experience with UL panel building, commercial/industrial electrical work, or military experience in wiring and diagnostics is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an extremely clean, temperature-controlled environment. The electrical assembly area consists of cell stations with large working areas, where teams of 5-7 technicians collaborate to assemble units per specification. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with availability required for Saturday shifts. Shifts may occasionally extend to 10 or 12 hours, though not exceeding 58 hours per week. Overtime is compensated, with double time for Sundays when permanent. All tools and materials needed for assembly are provided, ensuring no outside tools are required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $30.00/hr.
