    Job Title: Assembler

     

    As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to detailed directions. You will be tasked with reading blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build products to precise specifications. Utilizing various machines and hand tools, you will accomplish assigned tasks efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble machinery and products according to provided directions.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build products to specifications.

    + Utilize various machines and hand tools to accomplish tasks.

    + Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.

    + Maintain equipment and conveyors, performing basic repairs as needed.

    + Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate with materials handler for replenishment.

    + Periodically inspect products to ensure quality and uniformity, resolving any issues and alerting the supervisor.

    + Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in assembly and the use of hand tools.

    + Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.

    + Experience in production, soldering, and mechanical assembly.

    + Proficient with hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software for completing logs and records.

    + Detail-oriented and consistent in work.

    + Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    + Capability to maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.

    + Basic skills in mathematics, reading, or writing.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility with approximately 80 staff members split between two shifts. Shifts available are from 6 am to 2:30 pm and 9 am to 5:30 pm, offering flexibility to suit your needs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beltsville, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
