    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate both manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, boring machines, and grinders. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work to precise tolerances and determine the optimal speeds and feeds to produce high-quality products. The role requires visualization of finished products and the ability to recognize and report any errors in blueprints. The CNC Machinist may also serve as the final inspector for finished products.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure parts meet proper dimensions and specifications.

    + Perform machine setups to achieve close tolerances, fitting, and alignment of machined parts.

    + Obtain required inspections on first pieces of a run following prescribed procedures and perform inspections on work-in-progress using various measuring devices.

    + Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials for machines.

    + Acquire necessary raw materials, supplies, and tools.

    + Inspect machinery for needed repairs and perform minor repairs within expertise.

    + Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and ensure conformity with specifications; adjust machine controls to correct production errors.

    + Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance as specified on prints.

    + Operate fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of CNC experience.

    + 3+ years of experience with CNC mills and lathes.

    + 3+ years of manufacturing/shop experience.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and plans.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Excellent mechanical skills.

    + Proficient with operating a computer and internal software.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Good math skills.

    + Efficient and excellent time management skills.

    + Ability to operate various types of machine tools for progressive machining.
